If you would like to schedule an appointment with the LLS academic advisor, Dr. Sean Ettinger, please send an email to snettin2@illinois.edu. Please include dates and times when you would like to meet in your email. Dr. Ettinger is happy to meet in-person or over zoom.
Additionally, students are free to drop by the LLS academic advising office, Room 127, at any time even without an appointment. Dr. Ettinger is happy to meet with students for drop-in appointments so long as he is not already in a meeting/out of the office.

Tutoring Services
The Office of Minority Student Affairs provides drop-in tutoring services, Mon.-Fri., 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. OMSA also provides access to NetTutor, which students can access for free with their UIUC credentials. NetTutor provides 24/7, 1:1 online tutoring for a variety of subjects.
LAS James Scholars Honors Program
The James Scholars Honors Program provides students in the College of LAS with academic and enrichment opportunities. Current students who wish to join the LAS honors program may apply after their first year of higher education. Transfer students to the University of Illinois who will complete a minimum of four semesters, or two years of coursework, at Illinois may also apply. Self-nomination to the program occurs in June.
