Prof. Mirelsie Velázquez has received a grant from the Campus Research Board to work on her second book project, “Genealogies of Empowerment and the Makings of Home: Puerto Rican/Latina Activism at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, 1970-1992.”
