About Richard

Richard is a senior Latina/Latino studies and political science major with a minor in minoritarian aesthetics. 

Why LLS?

To this day, I think that my most life-changing moment was when my advisor recommended that I take Latina/Latino Politics, a cross-listed political science and Latina/Latino studies course. Entering that room gave me a new perspective on what academia was and what I could be, which led me to LLS.

Plans after graduation?

After a summer research internship with McNair, I will be applying for Ph.D. programs in Latina/ Latino Studies or Chicana/Chicano Studies.

Advice for undergraduate students?

You belong in these spaces that feel impossible.
