Gabriela G. Corona Valencia explores the bridge between 20th-century eugenic policy in the American Southwest and the contemporary sex education discourse disseminated to Chicana/Latina girls in K-12 public schools in East Los Angeles.
- Angelly Sorto Licona is a senior majoring in Spanish with a double minor in business and Latina/Latino studies. During summer 2025 she interned with Hope Chicago.
- Alexa Muñoz-Gomez is a sophomore majoring in Latina/Latino studies and political science with minors in Spanish and business administration. During summer 2025, she worked at Centro de Informacion as a legal intern.
- Jaqueline Rodriguez is a senior Latina/Latino studies and political science major. During summer 2025, she interned with Justice Connect.
- Meet Yesenia Olvera (BA, '14, Latina/Latino studies and history) the director of postsecondary success at Benito Juarez Community Academy. She was a first generation graduate who has dedicated her career to helping students and their families navigate their career paths after high school.
- Alexa Rodriguez is a Latina/Latino studies and sociology major. After graduation, she will take a gap year before pursuing a master's in counseling.
- Stephany Barrios is a Latina/Latino studies and political science major. After graduation, she plans to work in law before heading to law school.
- Zion Trinidad is a senior Latina/Latino studies and history major. After graduation, he hopes to purse a Master's and PhD.
- Jennifer Herrera is a senior majoring in Latina/Latino studies and political science. After graduation, she will intern for Global Repair Group and study for the LSATS.
- Kailey Reyes is a senior Latina/Latino studies and political science major with a minor in legal studies. After graduation, she'll work at an immigration law firm in Chicago before attending law school in 2026.
